Jade Goody
Suicide Watch
Jade
Goody has told an Irish chat show host how she was on suicide watch
while being treated for depression in the Priory clinic following
the Celebrity Big Brother race row.
The 26-year-old reality still insisted she was not a racist to
fellow housemate Shilpa Shetty.
Talking on RTE's Livin' With Lucy, Goody told Lucy Kennedy: "She was
annoying - (but) it wasn't her background, it wasn't her colour. The
last thing I want you to think is that I am a racist because that is
one thing I'm not. I do have a bad anger problem.
She added: "I truly forgot her name...So I said 'Shilpa Poppadom'. I
mean we call the French 'frogs' and would a Scottish man be offended
if I said he's 'Jimmy Haggis'? I didn't mean it in a horrible way."
On her eviction from the Big Brother house, Goody said she had an
anxiety attack and was so close to breaking point she was "like
glass".
Her doctor sent her to the Priory clinic and Jade said she refused
to take off her coat the whole time she was there.
She added: "It was the worst thing in the world. I sat on the bed
and I did not take my coat off because I thought, 'If I take this
off it means I've got to stay here'. So I had it on the whole time.
I was on suicide watch because that's how bad I was."
Goody also talked about being beaten by her mum, who she claimed
once hit her so hard that she could not sit down in school.

BBC
News Rebranding Complaints
The
BBC's new-look news designs have drawn complaints from viewers, some
referring to dizziness or nausea.
Scores of people wrote to give their opinions on the corporation's
website about the £550,000 revamp after being invited to do so by
BBC Newsroom chief Peter Horrocks.
The new look was launched yesterday.
Horrocks wrote on the website, saying the money spent
gave real value and insisting it was not a case of style over
substance.
A BBC spokeswoman said there had been a "relatively low key
response" in terms of phone calls - seven from the public of which
just three were complaints.
She said: "Following Peter Horrocks' blogs on the News changes there
have been around 170 comments posted expressing a range of views -
some negative and some positive .
"Within this there have been a very small number referring to
dizziness or nausea but there have been many more discussing the new
look, name changes and reasons for doing it."

Patrick Kielty Admits To Speeding
Comedian and television host Patrick Kielty has
admitted driving at 101mph on the A75 in the south of Scotland.
Police stopped him in December near Newton Stewart on the route
linking Gretna to Stranraer.
Kielty, of Dundrum, Co Down, pleaded guilty to the offence by letter
at Stranraer Sheriff Court.
The sheriff ordered him to appear in person to make representations
against disqualification for driving at 41mph above the speed limit
on the road.
The case against Kielty had twice been continued without plea.
He has now been ordered to appear in court in four weeks time.

Doctor Who
- Eddie Izzard
Eddie Izzard has told the Daily Express that he wants
to be the next Doctor Who.
There have been rumours about when the current Doctor, David
Tennant, will be stepping down - and the comedian is keen to step
into his shoes.
Izzard said: "I would accept the part if it was offered to me.
"I think David is doing a great job in the role. He may become even
more popular than Tom Baker, who I thought was the best ever Doctor.
"Tom actually put my name forward for the part when the BBC brought
the show back four years ago."
Baker said at the time: "Eddie would bring an alien quality to the
part. He is so mysterious and strange and seems like he has a lot of
secrets."
