Presenter In Court Clash
Sky News presenter Kay Burley clashed with a photographer
during the mayhem when Naomi Campbell arrived at a court hearing.
The newscaster, 46, was reportedly hit in the cheek by a
camera - and was then seen with her hand around a photographer's throat.
The incident happened as 100 journalists fought to get a view of the model
at Uxbridge Magistrates Court in North-West London.
There were suggestions that the photographer, Kirsty Wigglesworth from the
Associated Press agency, had bumped into Burley and injured her badly.
A witness told a newspaper: 'We were walking in alongside Naomi and
basically, Kay got whacked in the face by a photographer.
"Kay pushed back the photographer after she had her cheekbone smashed by
this person. The photographer's aggressive behaviour was extraordinary.
'Kay is badly injured and may have to be treated in hospital for a suspected
fracture on her cheekbone. She was in such a bad way that I think even Naomi
noticed in the courtroom.'
But another witness, who saw the second half on the incident, said: "Kay
Burley had her hands around the photographer's neck. It was really, really
vicious.
"The only way the photographer stopped her was by pulling her sunglasses
off.
"She has got marks around her throat."
Asked about the incident, Burley said: "As far as I am aware I did not put
my hands around her neck. I was hit in the face with a camera. You can still
see the injury on my forehead and like anyone else would do I just put my
hands up. If I did anything else, then I apologise."

EastEnders Actor In Babylon
Former EastEnders actor Nigel Harman is to star in the new

was in the show’s first three series and played the hotel’s general manager,
Charlie Edwards.
Beesley announced he was leaving after series three to focus on other
projects.
Harman will play wealthy businessman Sam Franklin who checks into the hotel,
only to discover his ex-wife Juliet has been appointed its new general
manager.
The pair discover Hotel Babylon is about to be sold, leading Franklin to
step in and buy it.

Wilson-Jones as Juliet.
Wilson-Jones was last seen in ITV’s The Time of Your Life and Afterlife.
Hotel Babylon is made by Carnival Films, the independent company behind
ITV’s The Whistleblowers and the forthcoming Harley Street.

Media Doctor Suspended
Celebrity psychiatrist Dr Raj Persaud was suspended from
practising for three months by the General Medical Council today.
The career of Britain's best-known psychiatrist was in tatters after he
confessed to plagiarism.
Dr Persaud has been struck off the medical register after a General Medical
Council tribunal ruled he brought the profession into disrepute when he
passed off other doctors' work as his own in 2005.
The psychiatrist, a consultant for the South London and Maudsley NHS Trust,
admitted nine instances of plagiarism, but denied dishonesty and
professional misconduct.
But the panel dismissed his claims and will announce what sanctions to take,
if any.
Before deciding, members heard from some of Dr Persaud's celebrity
supporters, including TV journalist Martin Bashir and the hosts of the
Richard & Judy chat show.
Bashir said in a statement read out by Robert Francis QC, defence counsel
for Dr Persaud, that he had developed a 'personal relationship for which I'm
deeply grateful' with the doctor.
Bashir said his friend was the 'first port of call for broadcasters and
media' on mental health issues.
He said: 'He's up-to-date with the latest research and invariably generous
in recommending the work of others.'
Mr Francis said Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan, the former This Morning
presenters, and Cactus TV 'wish it to be known Dr Persaud will remain a
valued contributor to their programmes'.

Todd Carty
Returns To Grange Hill
Todd Carty is to return to Grange Hill as Tucker Jenkins for
the last ever episode of the long-running BBC school drama.
Carty appeared as teen tearaway Peter 'Tucker' Jenkins in the first ever
episode of Grange Hill, which is being axed after 30 years.
The actor will make a special appearance in the final episode, which airs on
September 8, as the uncle of Patrick 'Togger' Johnson (played by Chris
Perry-Metcalf), who faces being thrown out of Sixth Form as he is behind on
his coursework.
Just like Tucker was all those years ago, Togger is stubborn and his friends
think that his Uncle Peter is the only one who can talk sense into him.
Carty said: "Going back to Grange Hil was hugely nostalgic and quite
emotional. I was sat having lunch in the canteen with all the kids during
filming and getting a little misty-eyed.
"I was one of those kids 30 years ago. I'd wake up every morning excited
about going to the studio. Grange Hil was the best time of my life."
