Wilding Hosts Helicopter Series
Former policeman and Crimewatch presenter Rav Wilding hosts a
new series of BBC One's daytime programme Helicopter Heroes, starting on
Bank Holiday Monday, August 25.
The ten-part series, to be stripped daily at 09:15, follows
the life-saving work undertaken by the medics and crew of the Yorkshire Air
Ambulance.
The series features dramatic rescue missions, actual 999
calls, reconstructions and interviews with those involved.

Andi Peters On Heat
Former Live and Kicking presenter and BBC and Channel 4
executive Andi Peters is joining digital station Heat Radio.
Peters, who recently appeared on BBC Two's Celebrity Masterchef, will
present a weekly review show, Hot or Not, on Monday evenings, starting on
August 11.
Mark Story of Bauer Radio, said Peters was a "great radio presenter,
naturally able to capture the right balance of irreverence and knowledge,
which will hit the right note with Heat Radio listeners".
Peters' show will review the latest films, DVDs, books, music and TV
programmes and will feature celebrity guests and members of the Heat
editorial team.
Peters first found fame in the "broom cupboard" slot on
Children's BBC on BBC One at the beginning of the 1990s. He went on to
present Saturday morning kids' show Live and Kicking with Emma Forbes.
He joined Channel 4 in 1998 as commissioning editor, children and young
people, before moving to the BBC in 2003 as executive editor, popular music
for BBC TV, where he oversaw shows including Top of the Pops.
After leaving the BBC in 2005 he has presented various shows, including
Channel Five's The All Star Talent Show, which he co-hosted with Myleene
Klass, and was a contestant on ITV1's Dancing On Ice.

Jeremy Vine
To Present Eggheads
Jeremy Vine is to return to his first regular presenting slot
on BBC Two for six years as a presenter of teatime quiz Eggheads, sharing
the role with original host Dermot Murnaghan.
Murnaghan, who left BBC News last year to join Sky News, has continued to
present the show and will also front a spin-off, Are You An Egghead?, in
which members of the public will compete to join the resident champions, the
"Eggheads".
Vine regularly appeared on BBC Two as one of the main presenters of
Newsnight between 1999 and 2002.
He left the programme to join Radio 2 at the beginning of 2003, succeeding
Jimmy Young. He also fronts BBC One's Panorama and recently took over from
Terry Wogan on BBC One's Points of View.
Eggheads boasts the "ultimate quiz team" featuring former winners of
Mastermind, Brain of Britain, Fifteen to One, the Weakest Link, Going For
Gold and the fist million pound winner of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?,
Judith Keppel.
Each episode sees a new team of challengers take on the "Eggheads" for a
chance of winning a cash prize. Each time the Eggheads win, the value of the
prize increases.
The series returns for an extended run in the autumn.

Denise van
Outen Quits Capital
GCap Media has confirmed that Denise van Outen has quit
Capital 95.8's breakfast show after finding that she "was not able to handle
the early starts".
Van Outen joined the London station in February as co-host with Johnny
Vaughan on the flagship station's breakfast slot. .
A GCap spokesperson said: "Denise asked for a meeting and made it clear to
her new bosses that she wasn't able to handle the early starts as they were
impacting on her personal life and her health. It takes a special kind of
person to consistently rise early and give the public the level of
entertainment they expect each morning. Denise requested the opportunity to
break her contract immediately and we obliged."

Robin Hood Actor Quits
Jonas Armstrong, who plays Robin Hood in the BBC's remake of
the classic tale, is to leave the show at the end of the third series, the
BBC has said.
According to producers, the 27-year-old Irish-born actor will bow out in an
explosive and nail-biting finale.
"Over the last three years I have met some wonderful people and have only
amazing memories to take with me," Armstrong said in a statement.
A BBC spokeswoman said the finale would be "intriguing and guaranteed to
make fans desperate to find out what happens next".
Foz Allen, the show's executive producer, added: "We cannot confirm the
series climax, nor can we guarantee who will survive and who won't."
The third series of Robin Hood will be shown on BBC One next year, and will
run for 13 episodes. It is currently being filmed in Budapest.
