Fiona Phillips
Quits GMTV
Presenter Fiona Phillips is leaving GMTV after 12 years to
devote more time to her children and her elderly father, her agent has
confirmed.
The 47-year-old will leave the programme at the end of this
year.
In a statement released by GMTV she said it had been "the hardest decision I
have ever made".
"I love the job but I've got other responsibilities - the children, a home
life and an elderly dad who needs me - and I've recognised that I can't have
it all," she said.

Lisa Snowdon
Replaces Van Outen
Lisa Snowdon has taken over Denise Van Outen's role as the
permanent co-host of Johnny Vaughan's Capital 95.8 breakfast show.
Snowdon takes over with immediate effect after spending the
last few weeks standing in on the show. Van Outen quit six months in to a
12-month contract after apparently struggling to balance her TV commitments
with the early starts required by the show.
Snowdon is a former model and has hosted the successful Britain's Next Top
Model on Living.
She said she had "grown up with Capital" and that Vaughan's show was
"London's most iconic breakfast show".
Capital 95.8 managing director Paul Jackson said: "Lisa has been outstanding
in recent weeks and we have received an amazing response from our listeners.
She is a fantastic talent with a natural flair for radio, and works
brilliantly alongside Johnny."
