Jack Tweed

The widower of former Big Brother contestant Jade Goody is celebrating his 22nd birthday with a "beach party".

Jack Tweed, who will be 22 on Tuesday, offered free entry to the party at Faces nightclub, in Gants Hill, Essex, to guests dressed in "beach wear".

A message on his Facebook page advertised the party as a "night of mayhem" and said: "See you in your bikinis, girls."

Tweed, of Buckhurst Hill, Essex, was freed from prison on May 29 and remains on licence.

Goody - who was famed for her appearances on the Channel 4 show Big Brother and would have been 28 last Friday - died in March after losing a fight against cancer. She married Tweed shortly before her death.

Tweed had served half of a 12-week sentence imposed in April after being convicted of assaulting a taxi driver. He was jailed by magistrates in Harlow, Essex, after a court heard how he attacked Stephen Wilkins in Epping, Essex, in May 2008.

Prosecutors said Tweed threatened to stab the taxi driver while the car was travelling at 50mph.

They said Tweed lost his temper after being asked to pay the fare in advance.

Tweed had denied any wrongdoing and pleaded not guilty.

It was the second time in 10 months that he had been convicted of assault. In September, he was jailed after a jury found him guilty of hitting a 16-year-old boy with a golf club.
