X
Factor Twins Auditioned Twice?
Footage of The X Factor twins John and Edward, posted on You
Tube and pictures printed by the Daily Mail appear to show the Irish
contestants auditioned twice.
The twins qualified for the later stages of the competition
after impressing judges with their routine in Glasgow.
However, home video footage, shot by a pair of unsuccessful
contestants, places the 18-year-olds outside the London auditions three days
earlier.
The sighting has fuelled suspicions that John and Edward were hand-picked by
the judges as finalists for the reality contest.
When the clip of the Glasgow audition was aired, the judges gave no
indication that they had seen the boys before.
An X Factor spokesperson told the Daily Mail: "There is
always a pre-audition in front of the judges. They did a pre-audition in
London then were asked to audition for the judges.
"They were given a choice of Glasgow or London (a few days
later). They couldn't make London so they went to Glasgow."
The 18-year-old twins are currently rehearsing for Saturday’s
show in which they plan to perform the theme tune to the 1984 film,
Ghostbusters.

Reader Comment
If ever there was a non-story this is it.
As they've shown on just about every version of this format starting with
whatever it was called when Will Young won, dozens of people keep following
the auditions around in the hope of making it next time. If it's against the
rules then they shouldn't encourage it by showing would-be contestants doing
it.

Kym Marsh -
Born Too Soon
Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh reports for ITV's Tonight
next Monday with - Kym Marsh - Born Too Soon.
In February the actress gave birth to baby boy Archie at just
21 weeks and five days. Sadly he died after a few moments of life.
There are over 50 000 babies born prematurely each year in the UK, one of
the highest rates in Europe. The numbers are still rising, yet there is
currently no accurate screening test available to identify women at risk.
Prematurity is the greatest cause of infant death in Britain.
Marsh investigates concerns that the issue of prematurity is not at the top
of the agenda for the decision makers.
She said: “I’m hoping in doing this programme that maybe I might go someway
to finding some kind of answer really as to as to why these things might go
wrong with pregnancies. But also I’m hoping to maybe raise some more
awareness of the situation because I think not enough is known about it.
“We need to do something more towards the research into premature birth so
that maybe we can prevent some from happening, and it would be good to meet
other people who have been in the same situation as myself because it just
makes you feel a bit more normal, I guess.”
She visits neo natal units to meet other parents of premature babies who are
fighting for life – and finds that the majority have no answers as to why
they gave birth early.
She also looks into the shortages of beds and services in some areas and
meets a family living with disability as a result of their son’s
prematurity.
In the final stage of her journey Marsh meets Health Minister Ann Keen to
discuss the findings of her report.

David Tennant Signs For NBC Pilot
Doctor Who actor David Tennant is set to make his American
television debut as the title character in NBC's hour-long pilot Rex Is Not
Your Lawyer.
The comedic legal drama centres on a top Chicago lawyer, played by
Tennant, who begins suffering panic attacks and takes up coaching clients to
represent themselves in court.
NBC gave the go-ahead for the project in August, about two years after it
was first developed, and had been trying to find a lead actor for several
months.
Tennant's casting is reminiscent of the tapping of another established
British TV actor with virtually no American TV experience, Hugh Laurie, as
the lead on Fox's medical drama House.

River Monsters
In a new six-part series, River Monsters, Jeremy Wade travels
to South America to look at some of the large fish and animals that inhabit
the major rivers.
Piranhas have a reputation as the most ferocious fish in the
world. With razor sharp teeth, they hunt in packs, stripping a body of its
flesh in minutes. In the first of the series, Wade, a biologist and extreme
angler, examines whether piranhas deserve the reputation they have gained as
one of the biggest terrors in the water.
Wade looks at what lurks under the murky waters of the Amazon and attempts
to get to the bottom of stories of piranha attacks on humans.
Scientists have determined that there are some 60 different
species in the piranha sub-family, yet the majority of them are actually
vegetarian. It is the flesh eating behaviour of just a couple of species
that gives them their reputation.
The first episode of River Monsters is on Tuesday, November 12.
