Former EastEnders Actor Bankrupt
Former EastEnders actor Joe Swash has been declared bankrupt
- less than a year after he won ITV1's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of
Here!
Swash, who won the show last December, had been unable to pay the remaining
£20,000 of a £120,000 tax bill to the Inland Revenue.
His bankruptcy was made official at London's High Court of Justice and the
Official Receiver has now taken control of his assets.

Kym Marsh
- Mum Of The Year
Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh has been named Celebrity
Mum Of The Year.
The actress and mother-of-two - who also confirmed she is back together with
former Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas - said it was a "real honour" to win the
Bounty Celebrity Mum Of The Year 2009 Award, which was voted for by the
public.
Marsh - who had to cope with the death of the couple's premature baby boy
earlier this year - said: "Yes we are back together, Jamie has got a son of
his own and he is a very good father but he can't win Celebrity Mum Of The
Year!"
The actress, who is mum to David, 14, and Emily, 11, went on: "It is a real
honour to get this award. It is nice to know I have got a lot of support out
there, it has been a really difficult year.
"I have been a single parent in the past and I have had struggles so
hopefully people still think I have done the best by my children."
Kym, 33, who plays barmaid Michelle Connor in the ITV1 soap, is divorced
from former EastEnders star Jack Ryder and split up with Jamie last month,
only for them to reconcile.
Her two children are from a previous relationship.

BBC
One Series For Fern Britton

As part of the BBC's programming to mark Advent, this year
Fern Britton presents a new BBC One series of in-depth interviews with high
profile figures – Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Dolly Parton, Sheila Hancock and
Tony Blair – in the run-up to Christmas.
In Fern Britton Meets..., the four one-hour programmes will see Britton
explore how their faith and beliefs have shaped their lives and what is
important for them about this time of the year.
Britton said: "All the interviewees come from very different
backgrounds but what binds them together is the fact that, although their
faith has been challenged, they've emerged with strong spiritual beliefs."
Former Prime Minister Tony Blair will talk about the significance of his
conversion to Catholicism and why he's set up a Faith Foundation to get
people from different religions working together and to make the case for
the importance of faith in the modern world.
Nobel Peace Prize winner Archbishop Desmond Tutu, still campaigning at 78
after a lifelong battle against injustice in South Africa, says he has
always been "a prisoner of hope", but jokes that he would like to ask God,
"whose side are you on?"

Digital
Switch In North West
Seven million viewers across the North West of
England have been taking part in the biggest overnight change in UK
television history as they move to the digital era.
The digital switchover
started in the Granada TV region in the early hours of this morning
as analogue BBC Two was turned off.
The remaining analogue channels of BBC One, ITV1,
Channel 4 and Five will also be permanently switched off four weeks
later on December 2 from households served by the Winter Hill
transmitter.
Terrestrial TV will be off air for some viewers
until the first stage of switchover is completed by late afternoon.
Once services are back on air, viewers of
Freeview, BT Vision and Top Up TV will need to retune their
equipment.
Jo Waters, regional manager for Digital UK, said:
"Almost half a million viewers in the North West will be able to get
digital TV through their aerial for the first time. But even if
you've had Freeview for a while, remember to retune your TVs and
boxes when the signal comes back on."
More than 30 advice points are offering
face-to-face support across the region during switchover and
roadshows will be running in Manchester, Liverpool, Chester and
Preston.
The Switchover Help Scheme is still welcoming
applications from eligible older and disabled people to get help to
convert one television - including a choice of equipment,
installation and aftercare. Eligible people who have already
converted a TV set without assistance can still apply to convert a
second set by contacting the Help Scheme on 0800 408 7654.
Last night, a light and sound display on the
history of television was unveiled in Manchester city centre
by Strictly Come Dancing presenter Tess Daly, with images projected
across Exchange Square onto the exterior of the Urbis exhibition
centre.
