Strictly Changes

Strictly Come Dancing will be split into two shows in the
run-up to the final, it was revealed today.
The BBC said the change, from Saturday December 5, will allow
phone operators "more time" to manage the votes.
A spokesman for the broadcaster said the decision to split the show was made
at the beginning of the series and had nothing to do with the scheduling
conflict with primetime rival The X Factor on ITV1.
"As we near the end of the run, Strictly will split into a main show and a
results show," he said.
"This split, which has been planned since the beginning of the series,
allows more time to manage and verify the increased volume of calls that we
expect to receive as the show reaches its conclusion.
"As a result of the split, the main show will start slightly earlier than
usual."
The first instalment will start at 18:40 and end at 20:10, and the result
will be broadcast during the second show, beginning at 21:40.

ITV - Nolans
Documentary
ITV1 has commissioned The Nolans - In the Mood for Dancing,
featuring interviews with the Nolan sisters and behind the scenes footage of
their comeback tour.
The programme follows the singing family from their early performances in
working men’s clubs, when the whole family with eight children lived in a
three bedroom house, to selling twenty five million albums and singing with
Frank Sinatra.
It also features exclusive interviews with the two Nolan brothers, who talk
about growing up with the most famous sisters in the country and with celeb
fans including Cliff Richard, who reveals that his programme gave The Nolans
their first television performance.
With archive footage and family photographs, The Nolans - In the Mood for
Dancing sees the sisters talk about the tragedies that they have faced
since they last took to the stage together and look ahead to their comeback.
ITV’s Controller of Entertainment Layla Smith says: “The Nolans were the
British Von Trapp family and one of the best loved bands of the last few
decades. The sisters have some amazing stories to tell and we’re delighted
to be bringing them to ITV.”

Celebrity Quits
Show

Dancer Camilla Dallerup has reportedly quit I’m A Celebrity... Get Me
Out Of Here! after just a matter of days, it was announced today.
The Strictly Come Dancing star was struggling with exhaustion over the past
few days and had been feeling unwell.
She has been replaced on the ITV1 show by former British heavyweight boxing
champ Joe Bugner who was the standby by contestant.
Bugner famously clashed with Muhammad Ali in the 1970s in a bid to win the
world title but lost on points.
Earlier this week professional dancer Dallerup had bemoaned the lack of
nutrition in the Australian rainforest camp, which she said was leaving her
exhausted.
She said she was having difficulty summoning the energy to shower.
“It’s not eating. Heat, I can deal with. I’ve got the highest metabolism of
anyone I know. I feel useless being here so tired. You can’t help anyone,”
she said.
During scenes screened on the show, Danish-born Dallerup was seen sobbing,
telling fellow jungle dwellers: “I feel like I am struggling to speak
properly.
“I don’t feel like anything. I don’t know what I need. I just find it really
scary.”
The rest of the Celebrity contestants rallied round her offering her sugar
to boost her energy levels.
This afternoon, Dallerup's fiance, Hollyoaks' Kevin Sacre,
said that she did not quit the show - she was 'pulled'.
He wrote on his Twitter page: "Can't say a lot, people, but I can say she
was pulled, she didn't walk...
All i can say is that Camilla looked the most tired I've ever seen her ...
when she doesn't sleep she finds it hard to be herself!!"
ITV said a statement would be made in tonight's programme.

New ITV Chairman
Former Asda chief Archie Duncan has been named as the new ITV
chairman and will replace Michael Grade in January.
Norman will be paid an annual salary of £300,000, and will be
given 1.2 million shares in ITV during the next three years.
Speaking about his appointment he said: "There are few
opportunities that would have tempted me back into the public company arena,
but ITV is definitely one of them.
"It is an irresistible challenge, a great brand, a people business with
enormous talent, but facing an imperative for change - the challenge of
adapting to compete in a fragmented digital media world."
"We are delighted that Archie is to become the next chairman of ITV," said
Sir James Crosby, chairman of the nomination committee and spokesman for the
board.
"He has an outstanding track record in business and we believe that his
extensive experience of both business and public life will be of significant
benefit to ITV in the years ahead."
Sir James also announced his intention to resign from the board once a
replacement had been found.
One of the first tasks Norman faces will be to find a new chief executive
for the broadcaster.
