Millionaire Appearance
For Evans and Wogan
Sir Terry Wogan and successor Chris Evans have proved to be a
winning combination after answering all the questions on Who Wants To Be A
Millionaire?
The duo romped home with a lifeline to spare in a dummy-run
on the show's set as they geared up for a celebrity Christmas special.
Evans, who recorded the edition of Millionaire with Sir Terry earlier this
month, said: "Fairly and squarely, we did win the million - we used two
(lifelines), we had one left."
Sir Terry joked: "That's very sad. You know what they say - good rehearsal,
bad show."
The pair are sworn to secrecy about how they performed in the actual show,
which also features Mike Read and Robin Gibb performing together.
Sir Terry added: "Let's hope we do as well as we did in the rehearsal -
it'll be half a million each if we did."
The veteran presenter finished his Radio 2 breakfast show last week after a
total of 27 years in the slot. Chris Evans takes over in the New Year.
