Coronation Street - Margie Clark Returns

Actress Margi Clarke is to return to Coronation Street early next year in the role of Jackie Dobbs, producers have confirmed.

Clarke, whose character was last seen on screen stealing Tyrone's honeymoon tickets to Paris, will appear in the ITV soap again at the end of February.

The 55-year-old filmed scenes last week, in a storyline said to be connected to her son's marriage to adulterous Molly, played by Vicky Binns.

"She's back for another brief period as Tyrone's mum," a spokeswoman for the soap said.

Clarke originally played Jackie from 1998-2000 and then returned for another brief stint from 2008-2009.

She has also appeared in other soaps including Family Affairs and Hollyoaks.
