EastEnders - Shane Richie To Return

Shane Richie is to make a return to EastEnders as loveable rogue Alfie Moon, the BBC has confirmed.

Richie, 45, who left the soap in 2005, will be back late. He was last seen driving off with his on-screen wife Kay, played by Jessie Wallace, heading for the United States.

Richie said: "I'm looking forward to finding out what Alfie has been up to and what the future has in store for him."

The actor first appeared in the BBC One soap in 2002.

It has not been decided if Jessie Wallace will also be returning.
