This Morning
At Weekends
ITV1 show This Morning is to be broadcast seven days a week,
it has been announced.
The flagship daytime show - hosted by Holly Willoughby and
Phillip Schofield - will soon start screening one-hour specials on Saturday
and Sunday alongside the Monday to Friday shows.
The new programmes, which will begin from March 20, are being
described as a "brand extension" which reflect the show's "enduring
popularity".
Programmes will feature a round-up of some items shown during the week and
Schofield and Willoughby will also record extra material for weekend
viewers.
Karl Newton, executive producer at This Morning, said: "It's a very exciting
time for us here at This Morning and this is a great natural progression for
the show.
"We are thrilled that Phillip and Holly can host these
one-hour shows - it opens the programme up to a whole new audience who may
miss out during the week. It will also reflect viewers' thoughts as Phillip
and Holly digest and comment on the huge amount of messages and calls we
receive."
This Morning: Saturday will be screened at 12:10 while This Morning: Sunday
will begin at noon.

Skins - Two New
Series
Channel 4 has recommissioned teen drama Skins for two more
years and will replace the entire cast.
Auditions for series five and six will take place in London and Bristol in
April, ready for filming in the summer.
Channel 4's head of drama Camilla Campbell said replacing the cast every two
years made Skins a 'truly distinctive show'.
The first episode of the current series attracted 1.2m viewers to E4 in
January.
The show helped launch the careers of Nicholas Hoult, who recently starred
in A Single Man, and Slumdog Millionaire's Dev Patel.
"Skins has always been about new talent, both on and off screen, and the
decision to recast the series every two years is one of the reasons Skins
stands out," Campbell said.
"Now another group of teenagers will have the rare opportunity to be part of
a British drama series that says something about their lives and is one of
the most exciting shows on television.

Essex
Boy To Sing UK Euro Song
A 19-year-old from Essex was chosen last night to represent
the UK in this year's Eurovision Song Contest.
Josh Dubovie, who is 19 and from Basildon, won the most public votes after
performing live on Your Country Needs You! on BBC One.
Six previously unknown acts competed for the chance to perform a Mike Stock
and Pete Waterman song, called That Sounds Good To Me, in Oslo in May.
Dubovie said: "I'm so so happy, I really can't believe it. Is this real?"
He added: "I never believed I'd come this far. The minute I heard the song I
thought it was a definite winner."
After an initial round performing hit songs, three of the acts were picked
by Waterman to sing the new tune, with the public then voting for their
favourite.
Dubovie, who performs professionally at charity evenings, festivals and
sports events, sang Jason Donovan hit Too Many Broken Hearts, then the
Eurovision song.
In second place was Alexis Gerred, 20, from Biggin Hill, Kent, while Esma
Akkilic, 17, from north London, came third.
