GMTV - Kate Garraway

GMTV presenter Kate Garraway has said that she would “love” to be a part of the brand new show when it re-vamps in the autumn.

Garraway, who has been with the station for 10 years, has been very vocal with her praise of the new changes, which include drafting in Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley as the main presenters.

Colleagues of Garraway, including Ben Shephard and Andrew Castle have sensationally quit since the news about the shake-up was announced.

Writing in her column for New! magazine, Garaway said: “There have continued to be lots of stories about my job at GMTV. All I can say is that I would love to be part of the new show with Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley.

"ITV has great plans, and while I can't let you in on too much just yet, I can say that if we end up doing what's being talked about, it'll be great fun.”

Fern Britton Wants Acting Role

Fern Britton has revealed she would love a TV acting role.

The former This Morning presenter said there had been talk of her moving into acting, but it has died down.

She told Woman's Own magazine: "I'd love to be on Coronation Street or Spooks, yes, please! My acting came about because a friend wrote a sitcom for me. There was a lot of interest, and then it went quiet - and that's probably the last we'll hear of it!"

The 52-year-old confirmed that her decision to leave This Morning was 'definitely' the best move she'd made.

"I've enjoyed my life so much since and I don't miss it at all. I was ready to leave," she said.

She also said she's happy with how her career is panning out since quitting the daytime programme.

"I've really enjoyed being at home more, tending to my garden and being with the children. It's also been good to do different things," she said.

Cheryl Cole Has Malaria

X Factor judge Cheryl Cole is being treated for malaria, her spokesman has confirmed.

The 27-year-old singer was admitted to hospital after reports she had fainted during a photoshoot at the weekend.

On Monday, it was confirmed Cole had cancelled all of her work commitments this week on the advice of doctors.

Cole recently returned from a break in Tanzania, on the east coast of Africa, with friend and dancer Derek Hough.

Malaria is transmitted by an infected mosquito and it only takes one bite to contract the disease.

Simon Cowell is currently filming the audition stage of ITV talent show The X Factor with Cole.
