Radio Legend In Hospital
Sir Jimmy Savile was last night in hospital recovering from a
bout of pneumonia.
The 84-year-old former Jim'll Fix It and Top Of The Pops presenter was taken
to Leeds General Infirmary, where he has often done voluntary work.
He is said to have made good progress and has been sitting up chatting to
his nurses.
Alan Hepworth, the caretaker at Jim's penthouse apartment in Leeds, said:
"He was taken in on Saturday.
"He's in the best place and is in good spirits.
"He'll be out at the weekend hopefully."
Sir Jimmy has raised £40million for various charities.
