Third
Series For The Walking Dead
US cable TV series The Walking Dead will live on for yet
another year.
The US-based AMC network said its hit zombie drama, just a week into a
second series on FX in the UK, will be returning for a third season.
Based on the popular comic book of the same name, the show depicts the
aftermath of a zombie apocalypse confronted by a group of survivors outside
Atlanta.
Its cast includes British Love Actually star Andrew Lincoln.

Group Changes Name
X Factor contenders Rhythmix have decided to change their
name after protests from a charity of the same name that works with disabled
and vulnerable children.
A spokeswoman for the ITV talent show said the girl group will reveal their
new name “in due course”.
Mark Davyd, the chief executive of music charity Rhythmix, had criticised
the show after revealing his organisation was launching a legal battle to
protect their brand.
An X Factor spokeswoman said: “At the request of the charity Rhythmix, the
members of the girl group Rhythmix have decided to change their name, a
decision which has the support of Syco and TalkbackTHAMES. The group’s new
name will be announced in due course.”
The charity, which was set up in 1999 and is based in Brighton, organises
musicians to work with hundreds of disabled and vulnerable children every
year.

Actress Joins
Wild At Heart
Former Strictly Come Dancing champion Jill Halfpenny has been
signed for the ITV1 series Wild At Heart.
She will play Fiona Lynch, who is intent on winning her husband, Ed, back
after she left him for a younger man.
The ex-EastEnders actress, 36, who played Kate Mitchell in the BBC One soap,
joins Stephen Tompkinson, Dawn Steele, Hayley Mills and Deon Stewardson in
the seventh series of the popular ITV1 drama, to be screened next year.
The actress, who triumphed on Strictly in 2004, said: "I am absolutely
thrilled to be joining the cast of Wild At Heart in Africa.
"Fiona Lynch is certainly a fun and feisty character and will no doubt cause
quite a few headaches for Ed (Robert Bathurst) and Danny (Tompkinson). I
can't wait!"
The 10 hour-long episodes of the drama, which pulls in audiences of more
than eight million, are being filmed on location at Glen Afric.

I had to chuckle at your story header here "Actress joins
