Frankie Cocozza Out Of
M&S Commercial
Former X Factor contestant Frankie Cocozza has been edited
out of the Marks & Spencer Christmas TV advertising campaign, hours after
was kicked off the ITV show.
The high street retailer launched its big budget TV campaign featuring all
of The X Factor finalists on Sunday night during the weekly eviction show.
Marks and Spencer's 60-second TV ad features the contestants, including
Cocozza, each singing snippets of the song When You Wish Upon A Star before
appearing as an ensemble.
A spokeswoman for Marks and Spencer pointed out that the TV commercial was
always designed to be edited as the X Factor show progressed – contestants
were recorded singing extended parts of the song so they can be chopped and
changed – in order to "keep the focus" on those that remain in the show.
On this basis boyband The Risk and Johnny Robinson,
who were eliminated on Sunday night and also feature in the
campaign, will also be edited out of the commercial.

Channel 5 Drops Show
Channel 5 is axing its celebrity magazine show OK! TV after
less than a year on air.
The final episode of the early evening entertainment show will be broadcast
next month, the channel has confirmed.
The Sky News production was brought in to replace Channel 5's previous
magazine show Live from Studio Five, which was axed in January.
Jenny Frost and Jeff Brazier front the show, having replaced original hosts
Kate Walsh and Matt Johnson.
A Channel 5 spokesman said: "OK! TV, our daily entertainment news show, has
been in our early primetime slot since February.
"Being part of our former arrangement with Sky News, OK! TV is set to come
off air on 16 December."
OK! TV - a spin-off of a magazine owned by Channel 5
proprietor Richard Desmond - had a rocky start when presenter Denise Van
Outen pulled out of hosting it just days before its first edition.

X
Factor Contestant Given The Boot
Frankie Cocozza has been axed from The X Factor.

The 18-year-old – who is mentored by Gary Barlow - has been booted off the
ITV1 show after breaking one of the "golden rules" of the competition, and
he admits he no longer "deserves" his place in the series after his
behaviour has become increasingly "out of control" in recent weeks.
In a statement, Frankie said: "I’d like to apologise to Gary, my fellow
contestants and everyone who has voted for me, but, as of today, I will no
longer be in 'The X Factor'.
"My life during the show has gone out of control and my behaviour off stage
has over-stepped the rules of the competition. I no longer deserve my place
in the show, so I am therefore leaving. I would like to thank everyone who
has supported me.”
An X Factor spokesperson added: "Frankie is leaving the show today after
breaking competition rules. He is going to take some time out before
continuing his career as a singer. We wish him all the best for his future.”
X Factor will make an announcement tomorrow about Saturday's live show
tomorrow.
Judge Gary Barlow said: "Frankie has apologised publicly as
well as personally to me and the producers for his actions that lead to him
leaving the show.
"I'm hugely disappointed that he's thrown away an opportunity like this
after working so hard to get here.
"I'm sorry to see him go as we've been through a lot together in such a
short time.
I hope Frankie continues to look to me as a friend and supporter and works
it all out, picks himself up and somehow tries to turn this into a
positive."
Meanwhile, Ofcom confirmed that it is looking into a trio of
potential breaches of its rules over incidents last month involving Cocozza.
The regulator will look at whether he fell foul of rules about swearing
after he was seen to shout “f****** have it – get in there”, when he learned
he was through to the next round of the competition during the October 23
results show.
The watchdog is also looking at a programme the night before in which
Cocozza was seen on a night out with friends, which may have breached the
code’s rules on glamorising alcohol use.
And from the same edition of the show, Ofcom will examine a problem with an
on-screen contest when multiple choice answers appeared in a different order
during the programme.
An apology was broadcast but Ofcom is examining whether the mistake may have
fallen foul of its competition rules.
The incidents came less than a month after Ofcom issued new guidance about
the watershed, reminding broadcasters to be careful about issues such as bad
language in programmes screened prior to 21:00.
Cocozza’s four-letter outburst in the live programme came just before the
watershed.
The regulator had organised meetings with broadcasters to emphasise their
responsibilities in protecting under-18s.
Cocozza can be seen with the other current X Factor hopefuls
in the new Christmas commercial for Marks and Spencer.
It is reported by The Sun that the singer had been bragging
about taking cocaine to production staff.

Sir Jimmy Lies In
State
The coffin of broadcasting legend Sir Jimmy Savile is lying
in state at a hotel in his home city ahead of his funeral tomorrow.
Today is the first of three days of celebrations marking Sir Jimmy's life. A
funeral service in the form of a requiem mass at the Roman Catholic St
Anne's Cathedral will take place tomorrow afternoon.
Sir Jimmy's cortege is expected to arrive at the cathedral following a tour
of places in the city which were important in his life.
The TV and radio star, who died last month aged 84, will be buried the
following day in the North Yorkshire seaside resort of Scarborough, which he
loved and where he also had a flat.
His family have confirmed this will also be a public event, including a
final drive down the town's seafront.
The veteran DJ, who presented the first episode of Top Of The Pops as well
as his long-running show Jim'll Fix It, was found dead at his flat in
Roundhay, Leeds, just two days before his 85th birthday.
Known for his trademark catchphrases, tracksuits, cigars and
tinted glasses, friends and colleagues described Sir Jimmy as a "larger than
life" character who was dedicated to charity work.
He started his working life as a miner in his native Yorkshire before
running a series of clubs and working as a wrestler and DJ. He raised
millions for charity and for many years was a regular marathon runner in
support of good causes.
