X
Factor Judges To Duet With Finalists
The X Factor judges have confirmed they will duet with their
own acts in this weekend's final.
Contestant Marcus Collins will sing alongside Gary Barlow, Tulisa with her
girl group Little Mix and Kelly Rowland with Amelia Lily.
The only judge not to sing will be Louis Walsh as he has no acts left in the
competition.
The final will take place at Wembley Arena, with Coldplay, Leona Lewis and
One Direction also performing.
Show finalists, Marcus Collins, 23, girl group Little Mix and Amelia Lily -
who are all 17 - have been rehearsing all week with their mentors.
At an X Factor press conference in London, Gary Barlow said: "The judges
will be more nervous than the acts."
The Take That singer has confirmed he and Marcus will sing Billy Joel's
Always A Woman.
Kelly Rowland and Amelia will sing Ike and Tina Turner's River Deep,
Mountain High, and Tulisa and Little Mix will perform a medley of Alicia
Keys hits If I Ain't Got You and Empire State Of Mind.
Gary Barlow joked with the press saying at least viewers would be spared a
performance from Louis Walsh.
"Thank God Louis didn't get an act in the final," he said.
Louis replied: "I think Johnny (Robinson) and I would have been a good duet.
We were thinking of Renee and Renato (80's pop duo), Save Your Love."

Tom Jones Joins
The Voice
Tom Jones has been confirmed as a coach for new BBC One
talent series The Voice.

He joins the show along with frontman of The Script, Danny O’Donoghue, to
complete the line-up of judges and mentors.
The panel for the singing contest – launching in the spring – also features
Jessie J and Black Eyed Peas star Will.i.am.
It’s Not Unusual star Sir Tom had been widely tipped to join the series, but
O’Donoghue’s addition was a surprise. Will Young had been in talks to join
the series until recently, and Kylie Minogue is also among the performers
who were approached.
Sir Tom said: “This is a strong show. It’s all about talent – but it’s also
exciting, competitive and compelling television.
“I’ve been blessed over the years to share the stage with some of the
world’s finest artists, and I look forward to being part of the team that
discovers a great, new, genuine talent.”
Irish singer O’Donoghue has graced the charts around the world and scored
top 10 hits in the UK with The Man Who Can’t Be Moved and For The First
Time.
He said: “This is a show unlike any other because it puts vocal ability
first above all else.”
BBC1 controller Danny Cohen said: “Overall, our line-up of Tom Jones, Jessie
J, Will.i.am and Danny O’Donoghue gives us megastar quality, great musical
range and musicians we know our audience love.”

Mash Actor Dies
Actor Harry Morgan, best known for playing Colonel Sherman
Potter in US TV show Mash, has died aged 96.
The star died at his Los Angeles home after suffering from pneumonia, his
family confirmed.
Mike Farrell, who played BJ Hunnicutt in the military series, said of
Morgan: "There was not an unadorable bone in the man's body."
Morgan also appeared as Officer Bill Gannon opposite Jack Webb in TV crime
serial Dragnet from 1967 to 1970.
He appeared in more than 100 movies in mostly supporting roles from the
early 1940s, playing opposite stars including Henry Fonda, John Wayne, James
Garner, Elvis Presley and Dan Aykroyd.
Morgan began his TV career in the 1950s when the medium was in its infancy
in the US, which he said allowed him "to kick the Hollywood habit of typing
an actor in certain roles".
But it was his role as fatherly Col Potter in Mash, which he played from
1975 to 1983, that remains his best-remembered performance.
In 1980 he won an Emmy award for his portrayal, which was set during the
Korean War.
During a news conference in 1983, after taping the final episode of Mash,
the actor broke down in front of reporters.
"I'm feeling very sad and sentimental. I don't know if Mash made me a better
actor but I know it made me a better human being," he said.
