Ab Fab Revival
Jennifer Saunders only made more Absolutely Fabulous episodes
because Joanna Lumley told everyone she would.
The actress - who plays Edina in the BBC One sitcom - admitted she was not
planning on making more shows in the series but had to change her mind after
co-star Joanna told an interviewer she would be.
She said: "It was mainly because Joanna announced it that we did it. She
said, 'Darling, I told them in New York that you're going to do a few more.'
"
The show returned on Christmas Day and one more will be unveiled on New
Year's Day, and she admitted she has already begun planning the shoot for
the movie version of the show, which will take place in France.
She told New York Magazine: "Yes, I'm definitely going to do it. I'm aiming
to shoot this in a beautiful part of the Riviera. I fancy the south of
France in the spring."

BBC Two Putin Series
A new BBC Two series, starting on January 14, takes a close
look at Russia's President and Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.
The programme, Putin, Russia and the West, asks how did this
consummate political operator with a background in the KGB become a valued
ally of the West? And when did his policies start to provoke deep concern in
Washington and London?
This is a four part series from Norma Percy and the team
behind the multi-award-winning documentaries The Death of Yugoslavia, The
Second Russian Revolution and Iran & the West.

Olly Murs
May Quit Xtra Factor
Olly Murs may quit presenting The Xtra Factor.

The singer admits he may not return to the show, which he
co-presented with Caroline Flack, because he is worried about being typecast
as a host rather than a singer.
He said: "I've told them that I'm open to speak about next year, but I'm not
saying 'no' and I'm not saying 'yes'. We'll see what happens.
"Presenting is always a tricky one because the more you do it, the more you
get typecast as a presenter and I'm not a TV presenter, you know? I want to
continue doing my singing, but we'll see what happens next year."
Murs is also unsure if any of the new judges this year - Gary Barlow, Tulisa
Contostavlos and Kelly Rowland - will be returning too.
He told New magazine: "I don't know if they'll all be back. I guess it's the
same for me as it is for them. Gary, Tulisa and Kelly's top priorities are
their music careers.
"I don't know their contracts, so I don't know how long they've signed up
for. But I know for me it's the sort of situation where I've had a great
time and would love to do it again, but I want to concentrate on my music
next year."

Eurovision
For Russell Grant?
Russell Grant has been approached to represent Malta in next
year’s Eurovision Song Contest, according to reports.
The TV astrologer has been contacted by representatives from the
Mediterranean island who have asked him if he wants to perform the country’s
entry in 2012.
They want him to sing and then during his live performance dance with Flavia
Cacace, his partner from Strictly Come Dancing.
Although Russell is reportedly flattered by the offer he intends to decline
because he has ambitions of representing the UK at next year’s competition.
Strictly Come Dancing singer Hayley Sanderson has written a track for
Russell and preliminary discussions have been held with the BBC – who
broadcast the competition - to find out if he can be put forward as a
possible representative.
