C4's Harry Hunters

A new Channel 4 film is to look at five girls who are determined to snare their own Prince Charming.

The film First Cut: The Harry Hunters follows 21-year old American friends Cassie and Whitney who grew up in rural Iowa, watching Disney movies and dreaming they would one day marry Prince Harry. They know that to achieve your dreams you have to be prepared to go the distance. Cassie and Whitney have done their research and have a plan - to hit his favourite haunts - from Polo clubs to exclusive Mayfair nightspots.

However, they have strong competition from the ‘queens' of the social network in East London. School friends Joy and Jade know Prince Harry's whereabouts at any time, day or night. Twitter is their medium of choice - whether Harry's partying in Croatia or flying Apache helicopters, they will know within seconds. 16-year old Joy even has an engagement ring for the Prince when the right moment comes to propose.

And finally 14-year-old Flora who hangs out in Chelsea, London and avidly reads the newspapers to know what Prince Harry is up to each week. However, she is determined to impress her teenage heart-throb by working hard at school in her hopes to become an intelligent Princess.

Channel 4 Commissioning Editor Aysha Rafael said: "The Harry Hunters shares the romantic age-old dreams held by thousands of young girls around the world. They fantasise of fairy tale dresses, extravagant royal weddings and for that special day when they finally meet their Prince Charming."

Sharon Watts Returns To EastEnders

Letitia Dean is set to return to Albert Square as Sharon Watts later this year.

Dean was last in the soap in 2006 when she fled after the death of her husband Dennis Rickman.

She said of her return: "I am really looking forward to being part of the Eastenders team again, as it has always been very close to my heart.  I cannot wait to work with my old colleagues and see what is in store for Sharon."

Executive Producer Bryan Kirkward added: "I'm thrilled that Letitia is coming back home to Albert Square where she belongs.  Sharon is a real favourite amongst Eastenders' fans and I for one can't wait until she arrives back in the summer."

The character of Sharon, the adopted daughter of Den and Angie Watts, was one of the original characters when the soap launched in 1985.

Terry Duckworth Back In Coronation Street

Coronation Street bad boy Terry Duckworth is coming back to Weatherfield.

Terry, played by Nigel Pivaro, will return to the long-running soap in the spring for around a month.

Viewers will see him reunited with his son Tommy, played by Chris Fountain, in his first appearance in the soap since the day of his mother Vera’s funeral in January 2008.

Pivaro said he could not “refuse” the offer to return, but said it would be “a little sad” being there without Liz Dawn and Bill Tarmey, who played his screen parents, Jack and Vera.

PG Wodehouse Comedy For BBC One

BBC One has commissioned Blandings, a new comedy series based on the stories by PG Wodehouse.

Blandings will star Timothy Spall as Lord Emsworth (Clarence to his friends), with Jennifer Saunders as his sister Connie. The six self-contained half hour episodes are written by Guy Andrews who is also executive producing.

Danny Cohen, Controller, BBC One, said: “PG Wodehouse was a comic master, and we are very excited about bringing his stories to life for a new generation of television viewers. I'm sure that the equally brilliant Timothy Spall and Jennifer Saunders will do justice to Wodehouse's work, and I hope Lord Emsworth can put up with all the noise of the production.”

Wodehouse wrote the first Blandings story in 1915. Fourteen dedicated novels and five collections of short stories later, he died in 1978, leaving Sunset At Blandings unfinished.

The series is set 1929, and will be filmed on location in Northern Ireland with the support of Northern Ireland Screen.
